Me And My Dad At The Trail Blazers  Game

We went to Portland to see the game but we had to eat first.  We ate at SIZZLE PIE which is a place where you eat pizza (YUMMY).

Spring Break Part 2 By Emily

On Wednesday, our youth group (Real Life from Family Life Church in Newberg) did a bowling trip after our regular service. I may have gone in thinking I was a good bowler but turns out not until games 5 and 6 did I actually do good. I am Emsmiley below and as you can see I did pretty good to start out in this game. I refused to use bumpers as I think they are for cheaters. My friends Dawson, Landon, and Zak kept joking around saying "Are you sure you don't need bumpers?". All in all it was a fun trip and I am glad I went!

 My Fun Sleepover

On Friday I had the privilege of going over to a family friend's house and spending the night. We went to Abby's Pizza for lunch and headed home. Their daughter Esther went down for a nap and Isaiah and I settled in for our favorite activity, Fizzy Paint! Fizzy paint is were you put baking soda in a pan, fill up cups of vinegar and put some food coloring in them, use droppers to drop the vinegar color on the baking soda, and have fun.  After dropping all the vinegar in, we use our hands to mix it up. The end result? Pink hands! My hands are still dyed pink as I write this.
Here is Isaiah's fizzy paint creation.

 And here is mine!

Here we are doing fizzy paint.

After Esther woke up from her nap, we watched Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Or we tried at least. Esther and Isaiah were not really into movie watching. After the movie we did potato stamping.  Kalina and I had seen potato stamping on Pinterest, so we gave it a shot. You carve a potato into the design you want, and then you paint the potato. We had fun making our Easter egg potato stamps.  Potato Stamping

Esther and Kalina had fun doing their potatoes.

After we did potatoes, we had dinner which was hamburgers. Travis did a great job making them. After dinner, we decided to dye Easter eggs. We had lots of fun and dyed 18 eggs total.
I dyed 5 eggs including this pink one shown above.

After the Easter egg dying, we settled in for one last night time treat, a fire! This is something Isaiah loves doing so in the summer we do it often. The kids got their snacks, and we settled in. The only unfortunate part was after only 15 minutes it started to rain so we had to go inside. The kids went to bed and I stayed up to watch The Carpenters Miracle with Travis and Kalina. It was a pretty lame movie and I was able to predict the ending. When the movie finished I went to bed.

Here we are enjoying the fire before it rained.

The next morning we had scones for breakfast and lots of book reading. I had a great time at Travis and Kalina's. Check out Kalina's Blog

A Walk To The Library

On Tuesday we went to the library.  Emily thought we were going to ride in the car, but we walked.  We took bags to put our books in.  It took four miles round trip.

On the way back we played a game called, "Sweet and Sour."  We waved at people in cars, and if they nodded, waved, or honked, they were "sweet," and if they didn't they were "sour."  There were 35 "sweets" and 16 "sours."
