Special Olympics-Newberg

We continued our traditional of volunteering at the Special Olympic's Bocce Fields (This is our 4th year).  We volunteer for the water brigade.  We arrive and set up the containers to hold bottles of water, fill them with ice, and then water bottles.  We also filled igloo coolers with ice and water.  Then we monitor them.  When not doing that, we watch the athletes play.  It is a lot of fun to watch!

4th of July

Our neighbors decided they wanted to throw a block party for the 4th of July.  The girls and Scott worked at the fireworks tent during the day.  The girls came home around 7 and joined in the fun.  Swimming in the back of a pick-up truck (I can't believe I didn't get a picture), lighting fireworks, jumping in the bounce house.  Scott came home around 11 pm and brought more fireworks with him.  We had more fun setting of fireworks.

This firework surprised us.  It shot pretty far in the air.  Any aerial fireworks are illegal in Oregon, and yet this was a legal firework.  

Guard Dog

I'm recovering nicely from my surgery, and Shadow is being 

a very good guard dog and keeping me company.
