2016 Annual Cousins Camping Trip

Every summer my cousins (from my mom's side of the family) get together and go camping for a long weekend.  For some of us, this is the only time during the year that we get to see each other.  We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to next year already!

Classroom Organization and Prep

Today I went into my classroom and starting organizing and cleaning out.  At the end of last school year, one of my teaching partners retired and she blessed me with a bunch of stuff.  Since it was the end of the year, and I was burnt out, I shoved most of it into closets and cupboards.  Now it was time to organize.  I forgot to take a before picture of the closet, but lets just say I was praying it wouldn't bust open when the custodian staff was cleaning my room this summer!

She also blessed me with mailboxes.  The color of the boxes didn't go with my room theme, so I decided to paint them.  It was a lot of work and there was a lot of stickers and other gunk to clean off before I could start the painting.

Lauren helped a lot with this project.  It took over 6 cans of spray paint, but they are now a lovely shade of blue.
