No smiling because back in the old days nobody smiled
After exploring the inside of the Discovery Center, we decided to head outside and take the Native Plant Tour. The Native Plant Restoration Project on the Discovery Center grounds promotes soil and water conservation. Work has been done to restore what was once the site of a concrete mix plant and turn it into the present day grounds which are flourishing with native vegetation.
We left here and drove to Downtown, The Dalles. The Dalles have murals through the city which depict famous moments in history. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures.
