Progress

Scott cutting out the molded sheet rock.

New sub floor and cement board.  The cement board in installed behind the dishwasher.

Corner cabinets installed.  We were just going to install our old sink back in until we did counter tops and then we would purchase a new sink.  However, we decided to go to Costco and check out the sink they have there.  We liked it and it was a decent price, so we got it.  

It was a bit of a snug rid home, but she said she was good.

Give the kid some frozen yogurt and she is good to go!

Movie and Home Depot

We decided to go see Miracles from Heaven together as a family since it is Spring Break.  We went to the Regal theater near us where they do $5 Tuesdays.  

After the movie we headed to Home Depot to get OSB boards and cement boards to fix the sub floor and the molded sheet rock.

More Demo

Now it is time to demo the lower cabinets.

Scott began by using this little power tool, but decided it was going to take too long, so he broke out the big guns!

Then he used his muscles to lift off the counter top.  It was only adhered with staples.

Public Service Announcement:  Don't plant decorative grass next to your house.  It will grow between the siding and house and come into the house anyway possible.  This is dried grass from a plant that has been dead for years.

We had plumbing issues last spring.  This issues caused water to come into the house and while the sub floor is mostly okay, the sheet rock has mold.  We were not expecting this.    

The state of my kitchen

No cabinets yet, but appliance where they will be.  The kitchen is so open now.
