While we were driving through Wisconsin on Tuesday, I got a call to interview for a job I had applied for while we were in Delaware. They were doing the interviews on Friday. We had planned to be home by Saturday at the earliest. We talked about it and decided to head home early so I could be back in time for the interview.
The drive from Crazy Horse in South Dakota to home was much harder to do than the drive to Delaware. I think it was because we did not sleep at all Tuesday night while sleeping on the prairie. The other factor was all the wildfires. They created a very hazy sky with an orange sun that never got bright so it felt like dawn all day long.

We drove through Washington and then down into the Tri-Cities and from there in to Oregon.

Lauren learned how to shuffle in Delaware and she spent the majority of her time in the car shuffling cards.
Yup, that's my hubby!
"Wait, who's driving if we both are looking at the camera?"
Final stretch
We left Crazy Horse at 9:45pm and arrived in Newberg the next day at 6:45pm. When it was all said and done we drove around 6,400 miles. We spent $605 on gas and $53 on tolls. However, the memories were priceless!
